Welcome!
Our children's ministry has about 100-120 kids from birth to 5th grade. While a few kids are new immigrants from mainland China, the majority of children were born in the United States. Our desire is to make known the gospel to the children; and to strengthen their faith in the Lord at their young age. The ministry also focuses on recruiting, training and equipping adults and youths to be involved in the lives of children by reaching, teaching and leading them. Since parents may be English or Chinese speaking, the Children's Ministry is truly a cross cultural ministry.

So that your child's time in the CCiC Nursery is worthwhile...
Follow the Healthy Child Guidelines (in the Parents tab). For the health of all our children, we cannot accept a child who has a communicable illness.
Respect procedures and policies regarding nursery use, such as properly checking your child in and out at the counter. Children are released to parents or parent-assigned adults only. A copy of the safety policy is posted outside the main nursery door.
Label your child's diaper bag and its contents (bottle, diapers, pacifier, extra clothing, etc.) as necessary.
Fill out an information card for your child. Please update information as appropriate. Download registration form here.
Refrain from peeking in on your child. If you would prefer to keep your child with you, please use the overflow room.
Your child is a special gift from God. In the CCiC Nursery, we look beyond physical care to planting seeds of faith into children's hearts. We are delighted that you brought your child to our nursery.
The CCiC Nursery offer loving and safe care during both sessions:
9:30 AM - 11:00 AM No Child Care Provided at This Time
11:00 AM - 12:15 PM English and Chinese Worship
We serve children from birth to two years. Our facility includes rooms for infants (with cribs) and toddlers, a microwave and refrigerator, a bathroom, and a nursing den.
Our nursery is a cooperative effort involving parents and other gracious co-workers. If you attend CCiC regularly, you are encouraged to serve in our nursery at least once a month, unless you are involved in another ministry. Also, when you bring your child in, you may be asked to stay and help during that session to maintain safe adult-to-child ratios.
All children cry sometimes when being left by parents. We understand and expect this separation anxiety. Crying usually stops within a few minutes after you leave, and becomes less common with regular attendance. If your child continues to cry after fifteen minutes, you will be notified.
Do let us know how we can serve your family more effectively. Thank you for the opportunity to care for your little one!
Healthy Child Guidelines
For the safety and health of all CCiC Nursery children and co-workers, please do not bring your child to church if he has had any of the following symptoms within the past 24 hours: Diarrhea, Vomiting/Nausea, Questionable Rash/Open Sores, Excessive Coughing/Sore Throat, Discharge in Eyes/Pink Eyes, Green-yellow Phlegm or Nasal Discharge, Head Lice, or Any Communicable Disease.
If your child is being treated with an antibiotic, he should have received treatment for at least 24 hours before coming to the nursery. Should your child become ill while in our care, you will be notified promptly. These guidelines apply to co-workers as well. We strive to make the CCiC Nursery a happy and healthy place.
Safety Reminders
Parents (or a designated adult) should personally take their young (1st grade & under) children to their classrooms before proceeding to their own programs or activities. Pick up of children in 3rd grade and under should be done promptly at the end of a program. Children are released only to the parent or any authorized adult individual listed on the Registration Record. Children are not released to older siblings. 4th and 5th graders are released on their own. When there are no official activities or programs taking place, you are responsible for the safety of your own children. Be aware that open doors, parking lots, street traffic, and other hazards are constantly lurking. Unless you have designated a specific person to watch your child, your child may not be fully supervised and may be more exposed to safety risks. Exercise caution and use good judgment in keeping our church a safe place.
Standards of Classroom Behavior
Listen to the teacher. Be kind to each other. Speak one at a time. Keep hands and feet to yourself. Be respectful of church property and materials. Cooperate and participate in class.
Disciplinary Procedure
If a child is not able to follow classroom rules after repeated warnings, he or she will be separated from the rest of the class until he or she is ready to rejoin the group. The teacher and the child will work this out together. If a child continues to have difficulties in behavior, parents will be notified.
